“Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming,” says the favorite song of Dory from the movie finding Dory whenever she is having fun just wandering around the ocean all day with Nemo and Marlin.
Take inspiration from this Australian-born regal blue tang and just keep swimming, not until you had so much muscle cramps, but till you have won the gold medal in the 42nd Masters Swimming Australia Championships (Long Course) to be held on 8-11 March 2017 at Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Southport.
Swimmers all over Australia will gather together on the Gold Coast to battle head to head in the pool on various swimming events. The first day, March 8, will witness competitors for the 200m butterfly, 50m breaststroke, 4x50m mixed freestyle relay, 50m breaststroke, and 800m freestyle. On the second day, the events will be 400m individual medley, 100m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 100m butterfly, and 4x50m mixed medley relay. The 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 400m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, 4x50m women’s medley relay and 4x50m men’s medley relay will happen on the third day, March 10. The last day, March 11, the heat will go up for the 200m individual relay, 50m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle, 4x50m women’s freestyle relay, and 4x50m men’s freestyle relay.
With all the information set, surely you and your group of friends would want to see men and women battling to see who is the best swimmer in Australia (that was an exaggeration). This event will surely give you the adrenaline and the feeling of being one with the swimmer once the competition happens and finishes one after the other.
